HISTORY

Our history begins in 1900 in a family home and a goat stable in Hohenlimburg. Under the name of their father Johann Kaspar Diedrich Ahle the brothers Diedrich, Wilhelm and Adolf join the family business producing springs and steel goods.

The official establishment of the spring factory Diedrich Ahle Federn- und Stahlwarenfabrik takes place in 1904.

A first extension to the factory is added only 2 years later. In 1910 the company GEBRUEDER AHLE oHG was established. After another 10 years company headquarters and production moves to their present location in Karlsthal.

 

Phases of production extension and intensification follow, new technologies are being introduced: The expansion of spring production for vehicles becomes the main object of the company strategies.

In the 60's the superprogressive spring  is developed and goes onto the production line. The miniblock spring, also developed by us reaches production stage in 1978. As of 1980 and by specializing on springs for the automobile industry only AHLE finally becomes a pure automobile supplier.

In the following years production is adapted continuously to the high requirements of the automobile industry.
